Match Summary
Todays match featured a rookie winning in a full field & the return of
Dick Campbell from Florida as a warm up for his bi-annual Ireland golf
trip. Good to see you again Dick!
First time software tour player Vic Otero was the overall winner firing a
fabulous 81 on the tough Cohasset track for a net 68. And as usual
host Steve Gaumer shot a strong 83 with a 40 on the back 9 for second
place tie with George Stanley and his ever improving game. Dan
Magrath was a close third.
Rick Lynch entertained all with his tales about the software wars, while
Steve Morgan played a strong game with an out of the money gross 86
which goes to show that Steve is not a sandbagger.
The two team net two best ball was a 137 tie between the two
foursomes with a cardoff on the two toughest holes for the winning
team.
This was the final event before the Software Tour Championship
match being held on August 21st at the TPC of Boston. Tee times &
pairing have been posted for the 16 top qualifiers. See rules & points
system for determination of the 16 qualifying players.
