Todays match featured a rousing competition between contestants
on the tough Ferncroft track with its diabolical greens. It all came
down to the 323 yard par 4 17th hole with Rosie down two shots and
on the green in two staring down a birdie, and Mungo below a sand
trap in two staring at a bogie or worse. Mungo's 3rd chip comes up
short leaving him another chip of 12 feet. Rozie's birdie attempt down
an undulating green just misses, then Mungo incredibly chips in for
par to basically ends the match, with the ball leaning on the flag pole.
Next week at TPC Boston is the final match of the season & for the
overall Summer Series Championship! Pairings, tee times & rules for
the final match have been posted to the August 23rd webpage.
There has been a new twist added to the final match so all
contestants are still in the hunt !
Host & Summer Series leader Chris Mungovan tees up at the par 4 350 yard 4th hole at Ferncroft. OB left and all tree valley right.

Mungo tees it up as Mike Rozelsky looks on at the par 5 535 yard 5th hole.
BIrdie slides by for Mungo as the Commish wonders " Can
anybody stop this machine in next weeks Championship Final ?
With Sheraton Ferncroft Towers behind him, Rozie unload another bomb.
Can you say new camera Commish?

Mungo celebrates at the site of his recent hole in one on the 162
yard all down hill par 3 12th hole. Do you think he may be also
pre-celebrating a Championship Series victory?
Says Mungo on his
hole in one:" Yes it
was a front pin
position like today. I
took a 9 iron and hit
it pure, it took one
bounce and went
right in the hole.
Saw`it all the way "
It was Chris's 2nd
career hole in one.
