With just days to go before the PGA begins play here in the
Deutsche Bank Championship over Labor Day weekend in a FedEx
Cup playoff event, our Software Tour players took on the tough TPC
of Boston in our 3rd`annual event.  Even an impatient course
marshall and potential hurricane could not spoil this much fun.

Todays competitive match featured a field full of celebrities from the
technology industry, as well as special guests and former locals who
made the trip to our 3rd annual event.

Making their first appearance on Tour was Mark Manning & Drew
Scarano from Pegasystems, along with Virtusa Co- Founder John Gillis
& Mark Riggs from Endeca.  Mark Manning brought along his secret
weapon & brother John Manning of Gannon fame for his first
appearance as well.

Something tells me their will be some additional business to be
discussed up Route 495 in the Bolton area before the season ends!
Joe better order a fresh credit card !

Tim Forti teed it up for his 1st appearance, alongside new brethren Kevin
Chiocca of Halifax CC.  And high tech legend Dick Campbell made the
trip from West Palm Beach to reunite with the band!

The North/South Shore contingent of Brian "Blushing Brides" Nelson,
former software icon Chris Mungovan & George "Wall Street wizard"
Stanley of Smith Barney had a real treat, teeing it up with first time Tour
player Jack Nicolas of Tedesco and TPC Boston fame. Long way from
Amen Corner eh Jack!

On course, the rough was very long just off the fairways & around the
greens which made it extremely tough to score. Some smart players
picked up caddies or fore caddies for their match, otherwise it was the
Michael Jackson moonwalk in the grass looking for balls under cart path
only rules. The players teed off from the 6800 yard black tees with a huge
142 rating...and the course marshall's impatience showed it!

During the final match, eventual champion Mike "Rozey " Rozelsky
finished strong with super 41 on the back nine, including a daring three
wood onto the 18th green! Mike held off Mark " long ball" Riggs who shot
a 41/42 after enduring a stressful ranger tongue lashing by members of
the foursome. That's with two F's !

Next week, the PGA tour will play a Fedex Cup playoff event here at TPC
of Boston from the 7400 yard tee boxes during the Deutsche Bank
Championship, proving to us again just how good those guys really are!

Thanks to all of who participated this year & look forward to a drier next
season where it looks like we may have some fabulous venues on our
2010 Software Tour summer golf series including:

Halifax        Charter Oak        Bass Rocks       Old Marsh

   Indian Pond           Cohasset         The International

Best!
